"Why should I perform a daily foot inspection? A daily foot inspection is very important if you have diabetes or poor circulation. During a foot inspection check the tops and bottoms of your feet and in between your toes. Make sure there are no bruises, cuts, or open sores. Toenails should be checked for jagged edges and be trimmed to a normal length. Corns and calluses should not be treated with scissors, razor blades, or any sharp object. A topical corn remover should never be applied. A thorough foot examination should also include inspecting your socks and shoes for any type of drainage."
